About

Education:  Dr. Hambrick received her Ph.D. in Clinical Child Psychology at the University of Kansas in 2014 and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the Developmental Psychbiology Research Group at the University of Colorado; School of Medicine.

Teaching:  Dr. Hambrick teaches undergraduate courses in General Psychology and special topics, and graduate courses in Theory, Research & Practice of Consultation and practicum.

Research: Dr. Hambrick studies children who have been exposed to trauma or adversity. Specific lines of research include identifying risk and protective factors following exposure to trauma or adversity, identifying helpful ways for caregivers to talk to children about disasters, and evaluating the effectiveness of available trauma treatments in community-based settings. The ultimate goal is to understand which interventions work for whom, under which circumstances.
