About
Nancy Twillman earned her Master of Social Work degree in 2003. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Kansas. The majority of Nancy's social work career was spent as an evaluator, with a particular focus on working at the mezzo/macro levels to increase local social service capacity by helping programs document their strengths, outcomes, and challenges. This is partnered with a career-long investment in the education of UMKC advanced generalist masters-level social work students, teaching a wide variety of courses over the span of 19 years as an adjunct instructor and serving as a field practicum liaison for approximately 15 years. Nancy transitioned to full-time teaching in the UMKC Department of Social Work for the 2021-2022 academic year and finds joy focusing professionally on teaching.
