I am an attorney now, but began my professional career in 1978 with the (then) Jackson County, Missouri Juvenile Court working with SED children and their families. I subsequently moved to Wichita, KS where I worked with seriously and persistently mentally ill adults and SED children and their families, and then to Chicago, IL, again with SED children and families in addition to HIV prevention. Along the way I picked up an MSW and an MBA. I have been a direct service worker, supervisor, grant writer, and program designer, implementer, and evaluator.
