The Interdisciplinary Ph.D. with Educational Leadership, Policy and Foundations (ELPF) as a primary discipline prepares students to address critical contemporary issues in education from an integrative lens. This highly individualized program prepares graduates for careers as university faculty members, school and community administrative leaders, and educational experts in policy and non-profit settings.
Students with ELPF as a primary discipline can focus their studies on PK-12 educational administration, higher education administration or educational foundations. Every student selects a co-discipline to complement their studies. While students may choose from any available co-discipline, some recommended co-disciplines include curriculum and instruction, social sciences consortium and history.
Interdisciplinary Ph.D. students with a different primary discipline may choose ELPF as a co-discipline, completing 15 hours of coursework selected in consultation with a member of the ELPF doctoral faculty.
