Which program is right for you? 

Programs
Educational Specialist in Language and Literacy  Educators who already hold a master’s degree in any area who want to develop expertise and professional leadership in literacy instruction, curriculum design, and program development and evaluation. 
 
Elementary and secondary teachers who want to obtain Missouri K-12 Special Reading certification (must currently hold valid Missouri professional teaching certificate to be eligible for this certification). 
Master of Arts in Language and Literacy  Current teachers who are seeking an advanced degree focusing on reading, writing, and literacy education. 
 
Elementary and secondary teachers who want to obtain Missouri K-12 Special Reading certification (must currently hold valid Missouri professional teaching certificate to be eligible for this certification). 
Graduate Certificate in Reading Intervention  Current teachers who want to gain specialized knowledge in reading and literacy instruction without completing an M.A. or Ed.S. degree. 
 
Supervisors, administrators, and community educators working in various educational settings (including schools, afterschool programs, non-profit organizations, private industry) who want to develop additional expertise in reading and literacy instruction.

Do I need to take a standardized test for admission?

No, GRE and GMAT scores are not required. (Note: International applicants must meet general university admission requirements for demonstrating adequate English proficiency.)
