Teacher Education

Berkley is operated in association with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Education, Social Work and Psychological Sciences as a learning laboratory.

A learning lab or demonstration school is a school operated in association with a university, college or other teacher education institution and is used for the training of future teachers, educational experimentation, educational research and professional development.

Practicum students, student teachers, interns and other students from the school's early childhood program are placed or given assignments to complete at Berkley throughout the year. Students link their observations and experiences at Berkley to their course work.
