We train students in organizational and leadership theory, college student development, and diversity and cultural foundations, all with a lens focusing on social justice and urban education in support of the mission of UMKC and the School of Education, Social Work and Psychological Sciences.
Graduates of the Program are prepared for entry- and mid-level leadership positions at community colleges, universities, and other educational institutions. Our focus on student affairs and athletics administration provides a unique offering in the Kansas City region.
Program Features:
- 36 hours of coursework (9 required courses, 3 electives).
- Courses are offered in the evenings (after 4:30pm) to allow scheduling flexibility for practicing
professionals.
- Our mix of face-to-face, blended, and online courses allows students to create community in
classes while also offering format flexibility.
- Foundational courses expand students’ understanding of college student and educational
institutions through a critical lens.
- Complete your degree in 3 years while working full-time.
- Emphasis areas include: Student Affairs Administration, Athletics Administration, Educational
Foundations.

- Official transcripts for all previous post-secondary work
